Bee-ing Mindful at Croxteth Community Garden

We were thrilled with the turnout at our Nature-Themed Mindful Activities session on Friday. Lots of Liverpool children & families joined us at Croxteth Community Garden for a wonderful morning of mindful activities under the trees!

We designed and decorated rocks with positive images, created art on the ground from bits of nature, planted potatoes and enjoyed a story about a meditating bee!

The activities were lots of fun but what was even better was being with others again. Kids together, families together, new faces after months of lockdown. We were very careful about infection control. Everybody distanced and we made sure to keep the number of attendees to the prescribed government amount. The great thing was, it still felt natural, relaxed and fun!

We worked closely with Rachael from Croxteth Community Garden to create this event and can't thank her enough for all she does. The community garden is a wonderful space with vegetables and flowers all tended by the local community. Why not give them a follow on social media or even pop along for a visit! We have ordered a vegetable bed there so we will be able to run even more amazing nature-based activities in Croxteth!

We had such lovely feedback about this event, it was truly heartwarming to hear. We sent all of our new friends home with a little keepsake too...a tiny wooden bee each, to remind them to Bee Mindful! buzzzzzzz!

If you are a community garden or a green space that would like to discuss running our mindful activity sessions in your setting, feel free to give us a shout!
